In order to preserve our independence and integrity, we have decided to no longer accept advertisers not cleared through Google's ad network. The LarchmontLA channel is now almost wholly funded through the generous contributions of the Wyers family, whose youngest daughter founded this site in 2009.

We post local submissions FREE of charge, as long as the individual or establishment has not been blacklisted as a supporter of the Larchmont Bungalow, an illegal restaurant that has attempted to have one of our female reporters arrested for assault.

Our social-media strength lies in our Twitter account, arguably the most robust hyperlocal news-distribution channel in Los Angeles. Regardless of timeline latency, our platform can break news within minutes, even seconds, and reach an engaged audience of 5,000 people interested in Larchmont-related happenings.  A single tweet run in @LarchmontLA has been valued at $5 to $20.

We also have a Facebook page with 1,120 fans and a mailing list of more than a thousand opted-in subscribers. As part of a network of 88 channels based in the Los Angeles area, we can run Larchmont-area news in any one of these other outlets depending on proximity, relevance and necessity.
