Larchmont Bungalow on Friday

at the LB one fine Friday morning (October 30)

From top: candy apples for Halloween, large cupcakes, ginormous cookies, pies, tarts and cakes by the slice or to be taken home whole (video)

If you click on the picture, you can sort of espy the cupcakes on the counter in the back. Those cupcakes were given out to the first 1000 guests who came in on Friday, October 30.

You can find these potted orchids in full flowering by the retail counter in front. Yes, they are for sale, and since they don't wilt the way cut flowers do, they make an environmentally responsible purchase to spruce up one's home or as a gift.

A few tables and chairs in front. Notice the LB shingle... and also the wheelchair sign denoting that there's an accessibility ramp... and that appears to be a sign for a security firm, so don't go vandalizing the place. The Bungalow does close around midnight and opens at six a.m., so criminals have only a six-hour window. ;)


This doggie was staring at the front entrance. Its master (owner? companion? keeper?) was inside the cafe... maybe picking up his free cupcake.

Of course dogs aren't allowed within because of Health Department regulations, but you can tether your pet like this while you place your order inside. Then come out and enjoy the LA sunshine with the animal cutie. The LB staff will bring out your order to you!

Didn't ask but the water bowl must have been provided by the cafe. What dog owner carries a water-filled bowl when s/he goes out to take the tyke for a walk, right?
