SEPTEMBER 6, 2010 - HAPPY LABOR DAY!

It's a public holiday, so libraries, post offices and most places of work are closed.

The Larchmont Deli, Prado, Bricks & Scones, Chocoholics, Girasole, Village Wine and Cheese, and other establishments in the Larchmont area are closed for the holiday. A few are on shorter hours such as Noah's Bagels, which is closing at 3 pm.

Larchmont Bungalow is open with regular hours and will be serving their Red and Blue Velvet Pancakes to 9:00 pm, coffee and tea to 10:00 pm.

The Library clothing store has a 50-70% sale going on until 7:00 pm.

Fluxus is hiring part/full-time sales people. They just got their second fall delivery three days ago. Open at least until 6 pm today.

Farmers Market and Pet Adoption south of Beverly, west side of Larchmont Boulevard

Laurent Bonjour is offering $3 off Valençay. He also has P'tit Basque, Peppered Cabecou in Plum Brandy, Munster, Berger de Rocastin and Saucisson Sec. He even has teething necklaces for young toddlers! List of sauces and new cheeses on the truck.

Sugarbird Sweets is introducing at the farmers market a new white tea blend with berries today. "Pairs wonderfully with peach crisps, stone fruits!"

The market is from 10 am to 2 pm, but many of the vendors are ready as early as 9 am.
