Waffles! Belgian National Week at Le Pain Quotidien

July 21 is National Day in Belgium, where the holiday is celebrated with friends and family and waffles. This week, Le Pain Quotidien is offering Belgian Waffles with Fresh Berries, with Berry Compote or with Chocolate Sauce for just 4.95 each.

In 1830, the Belgian people rose up to declare their independence from the Netherlands. Leopold I, the first King of Belgium, was crowned on July 21, 1831.
